Sarasota, Fla., January 23, 2018—U.S. Masters Swimming, the national governing body for adult swimming, is supporting collegiate swimming at the club level.
U.S. Masters Swimming is pleased to announce an expanded partnership renewal with Colorado Time Systems, a PlayCore company, through 2021. Included in the expansion are PlayCore Aquatics and Performance companies Spectrum Aquatics, Knorr Systems, and Power Systems.
U.S. Masters Swimming’s membership is a growing community of more than 65,000 adult fitness swimmers across the country who are living a healthy and active lifestyle. USMS members have access to a network of 2,600 USMS-certified coaches and 1,500 Masters swim clubs and workout groups to help them stay motivated, customize their training programs, and make working out fun.
Sarasota, Fla., December 13, 2017—More than 50 adult learn-to-swim programs across the country will receive support from the USMS Swimming Saves Lives Foundation next year, in what is a significant expansion of the foundation’s reach.
U.S. Masters Swimming has concluded its annual meeting during the United States Aquatic Sports Convention in Dallas, Texas. In addition to committee meetings and rules and legislation reviews, USMS held officer elections and honored many of its deserving volunteers with service awards.
Swimming’s universally recognized health benefits are the envy of other sports: superior core strength, reduced stress, increased cardiovascular and respiratory health, improved flexibility, and much more. Swimming’s low-impact nature makes it truly a lifelong sport. Swimming with a coach and a group offers motivational and social benefits, and most USMS programs include swimmers of all ability levels.
